Guilford Hall Brewery is fired up to announce the next launch of the Fire House Series– a line of craft beers that honors our brave firefighters.
The “Festbier” is dedicated to those firefighters who protect our City with a Hook & Ladder Truck.
This light lager features the same noble German malts as the traditional Festbier served in Germany. For every Firefighter Series beer sold, proceeds will directly benefit the Baltimore City Fire Officers Charitable Foundation.
Baltimore's fire officers couldn't unionize until 1947! When finally allowed, they tried joining the existing firefighters union but had to start their own instead. Thus, the Baltimore Fire Officers Local 964 was born in 1948, marking a new era in fire service history.
